GE Monogram Repair — Atlanta
The widest age spread of any brand we service around Atlanta — a 2024 column and a 1998 built-in are both Monogram, and share almost nothing else.
Independent service company. Not affiliated with, authorized by or endorsed by GE Appliances. GE, Monogram, Statement, Minimalist and Advantium are their trademarks or used by them under license, used here only to describe the appliances we repair.

Which one is in your kitchen
Monogram reorganized around two looks in 2020. Anything older predates the split, which matters less for style than for what parts still exist.
Statement Collection
Edge-to-edge handles, polished stainless, substantial knobs and brass accents. The bolder of the two looks, introduced in 2020.
Minimalist Collection
Flush inset, handleless fronts, expansive glass and precisely engineered metal. The contemporary look, introduced alongside Statement.
Pre-2020 Monogram
Everything before the collections existed. Still widely installed from Sandy Springs to Marietta, and still serviceable — parts availability is what we check first.
Advantium
The wall oven that cooks by several methods at once and browns with light rather than an element. Serviced differently from a conventional wall oven, and often the appliance people forget is Monogram.
The part that matters
Twenty-five years in one brand name
No other brand we service spans this much time under one name, and that is the whole diagnostic problem.
The badge is the same. The machine behind it is not.
Monogram has been specified into American houses since the late eighties, and metro Atlanta has plenty of both ends of that run. A call about a Monogram refrigerator can mean a current panel-ready column with a touch display, or a built-in from the nineties with a mechanical control and a compressor that has outlived two kitchens around it.
Both are worth repairing, and we take on both. But the control architecture, the failure points and above all the parts availability diverge sharply across that span. So the first question is never what is wrong — it is the model and serial, which tell us whether the part is on a distributor's shelf, exists as a superseded equivalent, or does not exist at all. On an older unit we would rather establish that before you take a day off work.
Model and serial first
They decide whether this is a quick repair or a parts hunt. We aim to check before the visit is booked.
Superseded is not discontinued
Many older parts have a current equivalent that fits with a small adaptation. That is normal work, not a bodge.
When we say replace
If the part genuinely no longer exists, we tell you plainly and nothing is ordered. That happens, and it is better said early.
Inside the circuit
Sealed system work on the refrigeration side is EPA 608 only — federal law, not preference.
Common faults
What it usually turns out to be, by appliance
Find your symptom in the list and quote it when you call — with the model and serial, it tells us what to bring.
Not cooling, freezer side still cold
Evaporator fan or the defrost circuit
Runs constantly and never cycles off
Condenser packed with dust, or a loss of charge
Frost building at the back of the compartment
Defrost heater or thermostat
Water pooling under a drawer
Blocked defrost drain
Ice maker empty or producing hollow cubes
Water inlet valve, fill tube or the module
Oven never reaches temperature
Bake element or temperature sensor
Door locked after a self-clean cycle
Latch motor or control
Burner clicks but will not light
Igniter or a clogged burner port
Advantium runs but does not brown
Halogen lamps or their control
Display dark but the oven still heats
Control board or the ribbon behind it
Standing water after every cycle
Drain pump or check valve
Film left on glassware
Spray arm or inlet water flow
Leak at the door behind the custom panel
Door gasket or tub seal
Panel scrapes the frame as the door opens
Panel mounting, not the machine
Cycle starts then stops within a minute
Water inlet valve or a float switch
This is the usual finding, not a diagnosis. With Monogram the early question is twofold — part or sealed system, and current part or superseded one — and each answer changes the conversation about cost.
If you smell gas near a Monogram range or cooktop, do not light anything or flip a switch. Go outside and call 911 or your gas utility from there. That call comes before ours, every time.
Tell us the model, roughly how old it is and what it is doing. We will tell you what it usually means.
Parts and timing
What the wait depends on, old and new
Parts for current units are generally easy to source; for older ones, availability is the first thing we check.
Wear items
Igniters, gaskets, thermistors, spray arms, fill tubes. Often available quickly; you get the timeline before the visit.
Boards and modules
Control boards, latch motors, ice maker modules, Advantium lamps. Ordered against the serial.
Sealed system components
Compressors, evaporators, driers. The longest lead time here, and the longest visit.
Older units
We aim to check availability before booking you in. If a part is superseded we say what the equivalent is; if it is gone, we say that too rather than open the appliance first.
Questions
Asked about Monogram
Warranty, insurance and booking are on the home page. These questions are specific to Monogram.
Are you an authorized Monogram service center?
No. We are independent, with no affiliation to or authorization from GE Appliances. During the factory warranty, covered repairs run through the manufacturer's own service network — use that first. Once the warranty ends, we can step in.
My Monogram is from the late nineties. Can you still get parts?
Often yes, and where the original is gone there is frequently a superseded equivalent that fits. We aim to check availability against your model and serial before the visit, so that question is settled early.
What is the difference between Statement and Minimalist?
Look, mostly. Statement has edge-to-edge handles, polished stainless and brass accents; Minimalist is flush inset and handleless with more glass. Both arrived in 2020. Underneath, appliances across the two collections often share the same platform.
The Advantium heats but nothing browns. What is that?
Usually the halogen lamps or the control that drives them. An Advantium browns with light rather than with a conventional element, so when that side fails the oven still gets hot and the food still comes out pale.
Does a panel-ready Monogram mean the panel comes off?
On a panel-ready column or dishwasher, often yes. We cover the floor and the cabinets beside it before anything comes off, and the panel is rehung to the same alignment and reveal.
